I guess there's nothing quite like graduation to bring out the mixed feelings. The relief is enormous, the knowlege that it really wasn't all for nothing. The wonderful thought of no more high school classes or summer workouts. The amazement of seeing your diploma: a piece of paper, the only result of 13 years if toil.
And yet...
Right now there is little more than the overwhelming acknologement of the end. The fact that there is no more ap classes, no more lunch ladies, no more overcrowded gravel parking lot. Just the knowlege of complete and total change: moving away, starting over, finding new friends, being totally on my own. It's all new to me. Don't get me wrong, I'm incredibly excited. I'm ready for it, and I can handle it.
It's just a very big thought.

  • end of volleyball season = not-so-fun
  • no more practice = lots more free time
  • lots more freedom = time for writing/reading
  • more free time = job
  • job = money
  • job at chick-fil-a not books-a-million = working with all my friends
  • working with friends = very cool ( and actually fun. who knew?)

so so far it's been pretty cool.

well this has been a busy couple of months.

volleyball season is almost over, which means i will have much more time.

but i applied for a job, so i may not have quite as much time as i expected.

but still.

the ACT is coming up soon.

it's starting to make me nervous.

i need a good score so i can get a scholarship.

like REALLY good. (cough34cough)

but thats not real likely.

football season is rocking my socks off, as usual.

and basically, life is good.

so i'm out.

i have now been in school for 3 weeks.

and even though its not as bad as im sure it could be, it still pretty much kills me.

((ok so its not hard or anything. i might just hate getting up at 6 am. maybe.))

last night i was so tired i fell asleeo in my regular clothes at 9:15.
which is probably the earliest i've gone to bed in a couple of years.

but there is one major plus to school.

its called football.

and it rules.

i would go to school til im 20 just to watch the football.

i think thats why they invented football.

to keep people in school.

its an offer i cannot refuse.

(by the way, i'm talking american football.)

okay this is just getting ridiculous.

the temperature was 103 outside today.

103.

and as if that wasn't bad enough, the heat index was 113.

it felt like 113 degrees outside today.

can you say heatstroke?

and my lovely p.e. teacher demanded that we go run today.

a lot of running. outside.

aren't there laws about this??

103 degrees.

it has to be illegal.

obviously it's not healthy.

on another, equally ridiculous note.

school started back this week.

okay people. school is supposed to start in september. not the first week of august.

what a week.

maybe next week will be a cool down.

at least i can hope.

I have a question.

WHERE DID MY SUMMER GO????

school starts in 3 1/2 weeks.

honestly.  are these people nuts? do they want me to go insane?

apparently.

anyhew.

let's see, last week.

  • sam everyday= very good
  • harry potter movie= good
  • sam + harry potter movie= very good
  • i got out of babysitting= excellent
  • up at 7:15 every movie= not so fun
  • seeing friends i haven't seen in forever= very good
  • new layout (made by me once again)= i love it
  • 2 days at the gym= ugh
  • pouring rain everyday for the past 2 weeks= good because we're in a drought
  • 14 days of rain & yet we're still in a severe drought= i don't understand

but oh well.

i guess i don't have to understand.

but the new harry potter movie was good.  they skipped several things i would have liked to see, but i understand why they did.

anyhow
.

maybe this week will be more relaxing.
maybe
